Where it is Needed Most (Unrestricted) 

• HMS is committed to providing support to enhance and amplify students’ lived experiences inside and outside the classroom by offering social opportunities, mental health resources, and other non-academic initiatives that enhance the student experience.
• Across departments, there is a focus on projects examining AI’s potential to transform education and patient care in thoughtful and ethical ways.
   

Financial Aid and Education 

• 72% of the student body at HMS receives financial aid.
• This year, HMS provided $19 million in MD scholarships.
• The average graduating debt of MD students in 2024 at HMS was $118,957, compared to an average of more than $186,000 at both public and private U.S. medical schools.
   

Global Health and Service 

• The Office for Community-Centered Medical Education enables our students and faculty to engage more meaningfully with community-based organizations in underserved local neighborhoods.
• The Paul Farmer Collaborative of HMS and the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda promotes the development of sustainable, equitable health systems that improve care delivery to disadvantaged populations worldwide.
   

Culture and Community 

• HMS programs promote collaboration, dialogue, and community-building on our campus, ensuring that everyone can thrive while uniting to support local communities in need.
   

Research and Therapeutics 

• The Blavatnik Harvard Life Lab Longwood, an incubator laboratory space, is now operating at 70 percent capacity. The majority of companies there were founded by Quad faculty members.
• The Quadrangle Fund for Advancing and Seeding Translational Research (Q-FASTR) has funded 80 projects, which have led to five new companies, 51 patents, and more than $180 million in follow-on funding.
