The Alumni Council promotes and supports activities that connect alumni to each other, the School, and current students.
The Council serves in an advisory role to Harvard Medical School leaders by listening and responding to current issues. It also appoints, in consultation with the dean, the chair of alumni relations and the chair of alumni giving. The Council comprises members who are each elected to a three-year term. The Council is currently focused on supporting the pipeline of physicians and leaders in medicine through mentorship programs fueled by MD alumni.
