Lessons From the Front Lines of Public Health
Please join the Harvard Medical School community for the annual Kantoff-Sang Dean’s Lecture. Hosted by Dean George Q. Daley, this event features prominent guest speakers sharing insights from their fields of expertise. This year’s lecture will feature Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
During her 2.5-year tenure, Dr. Walensky navigated the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing on her academic roots at HMS and Massachusetts General Hospital, she has a unique perspective on public health, crisis communication, and leadership. Dr. Walensky will share the invaluable lessons she has learned and discuss their relevance to current and future public health challenges.
