It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you to our web pages. Not many schools of medicine can claim an Alumni Association as strong and enduring as ours. Since 1890, when a group of graduates gathered at the Boston Medical Library, HMS alumni have steadfastly supported the cause of medical education and the careers of their fellow graduates. From a handful of students and a faculty of three at its inception in 1782 to some 900 students and a faculty of over 10,000 today, much of the School's growth and success is due to strong alumni support.

In Boston and around the world, HMS alumni-now 9,000 strong-continue to lead the medical profession. In clinics, classrooms, and research laboratories, you are leaving a legacy of curing, caring, and educating. We encourage you to use this distinguished network as a valuable resource throughout your career, and to become an active member of the Alumni Association.
